Halogen lights produce a large amount of heat. I replaced two halogen down lighters in a house this week. The damage caused to the joint boxes is obvious. I used two LED bulbs which produce a lot less heat.

Got an emergency call out to Dun Laoghaire this morning. Customer smelled burning. I Called down and quickly located a faulty MCB in the fuse board. Had everything sorted in a few minutes.

Recessed Halogen lamps can be very dangerous due to the amount of heat generated. LED lamps are a much safer option as they generate a lot less heat. LED's will save electricity as they only use about 1 tenth of the electricity a halogen lamp uses. LED's will pay for themselves normally within one year.…

Got two emergency call outs this morning before 8.30. One was to Monkstown where an extension lead was going on fire and the other was to Shankill where a MCB on the fuse board was burning. Both problems sorted before 10am.

Got an emergency call out to Ballybrack this evening. The main switch on the fuse board had burnt out. Was able to get supply back on in 30 minutes, customer was delighted.

Got a call to an apartment block in Sandyford. No lights were working on two of the landings. I replaced two motion sensors and had lights back working to the satisfaction to all the tenants.
